Tim founded the company in April 2018, and the experience he brings to every inspection started decades before that — on job sites, in homes, and behind the walls where problems actually hide.
Tim's career began in the trades. In the early 1990s he worked as a residential electrician, gaining a firsthand understanding of how a home's electrical systems are wired and where they go wrong — one of the most safety-critical systems in any house. He went on to spend years as a contractor, working hands-on with the structure, framing, and finishes of homes, learning how they're built, how they age, and where the weak points tend to show up over time.
That hands-on background is Tim's edge. Because he understands how homes are actually constructed — where corners get cut, where moisture and wear take their toll, and how systems are meant to work — he knows exactly what to look for. Before launching Advanced Home and Property Inspection, Tim also spent several years in a management role with a defense contractor, sharpening the organization, accountability, and attention to detail that now define every report he delivers.
